Imposter syndrome part 1

Life Coaches abound everywhere .

I even got “ sucked” into the process  when I was researching a  career change.

Sadly a lot of people do..

One aspect of this Imposter syndrome is that people , I believe, are simply looking at the money they will make.

That is the underlying angle when you are “ pitched.”

Remember however, what attracted you to this industry..

You DO WANT TO HELP PEOPLE, right?

After I spent $18,000 to becone a " certified" Life Coach, we had a zoom meeting. The second in command of this prestigious Life Coaching organization,  told the group that famous CEO  would "have NOTHING to do with an individual" unless they were making his company "alot of money through selling his programs."  I was appalled and hated the life coaching aspect at that point..

HOWEVER..

Recently I met Eric Nutting who is a Growth Business counselor and coach. His transition into this business was to serve his community, specifically St Petersburg, Florida.

Coming from the acting and voiceover careers, helped pave the way for an interesting segue into counseling.  His real life experiences guide people to make the best choices for themselves.

I feel that this aspect, helping people explore their life and business PATHS with someone is what a counselor's purpose is: to help the person focus.  He helps others analyze their strengths to find their WHY and their WHAT.

He focuses on those aptitudes and guides you based on your strengths. We all have transferable skills.

I do believe a counselor, mentor is important. Just watch out for the people who will charge you THOUSANDS.

For the longest time, IPAs have been growing stronger, hazier, and hoppier. And that’s because brewers have been upping the hop quantities in search of those big flavors and aromas that IPA drinkers lust after.

But more hops equals less finished beer, and with the price of raw materials, labor, and utilities on the rise, craft breweries can’t afford that sort of inefficiency. New high-tech innovations, however, are now allowing brewers to achieve intense aromas and haziness without losing yield. From genetically modified yeast strains to cryogenically concentrated hops additives, Joshua Bernstein reports on this new frontier of hop science.
